Where to Find Cute Workout Clothes Online

Have you ever bought a new pair of running shoes and suddenly felt more motivated to go for a run the next morning? Yeah, me too! I know I’m not alone when I say there’s nothing that motivates me more to put in a good workout than cute workout clothes.

After training every day in Thailand for several months, my gym clothes needed a major overhaul and it was time for a serious update. Before I could renew my activewear collection, I needed to do some research to find the best places to buy cute workout clothes.

So I get my hands on the best stuff, I’ve spent the last couple weeks talking to clients and trainers from all over the world about their go-to workout gear. Something everyone agrees on is that not only does workout clothing need to be comfortable and cute, but it’s also essential that it’s functional and durable. There is nothing worse than buying a pair of yoga pants only to have them fall apart after 2 months.

Whether you’re hiking a mountain or training at the gym, you want to look and feel your very best. When I’m feeling comfortable in my workout clothes, I’m always more focused on my workout and not wasting energy pulling up my yoga pants or wondering if my leggings are see-through when I squat. Ladies, y’all know I am talking about.

Here’s a list of my fave workout brands, new and old, and what I love about them. To help get you started on building your new workout wardrobe, I’m also sharing some pieces that I think you’ll absolutely love.

1.     Adidas — One of the oldest fitness brands that dates back to 1949, you can’t go wrong with Adidas. The brand creates workout clothes that are classic and functional. I find myself wearing Adidas clothing to the gym all the time, as well as to brunch with girlfriends. Their pieces are strong and reliable enough to put in a solid workout at the gym, while still being stylish and cute enough to wear while hanging out with friends.

2.     Alo Yoga — Alo Yoga believes in spreading mindful movement, inspiring wellness and creating community. The brand is 100% sweatshop-free and uses eco-friendly practices for a clean environment. We definitely need more of this in our world. Their materials are high quality and I would know. All my Alo Yoga clothing has lasted years. Don’t be fooled by the name — their workout clothes are suitable for all kinds of workouts.

3.     Amazon — Amazon has everything you could possibly want, including cute workout clothes, which is amazing. But don’t rush into anything — you need to do your research and read product reviews before shopping on Amazon to make sure you’re getting what you think you’re getting. To save you the trouble, here are my fave Amazon finds for working out.

4.     Athleta — Athelta was acquired by Gap in 2008 and opened their first store in California back in 2011. If you’re looking for a high-quality fabric with all the athleisure feels, give Athleta a try. You can easily wear their tights to the gym for a workout then throw an oversized sweater over them and add a pair of booties for that instant city look.

5.     Balance Athletica — This family-run business designs each collection from scratch with all body types in mind. They believe that when you find your balance, you find your inner peace and I couldn’t agree more. The Outlander is their newest collection and definitely worth checking out. 6.     Fabletics — If you live and train in your workout clothes, Fabletics is a perfect match for you. For just $49 (such a bargain!) you get a monthly subscription to their fitness outfits. I’m always on the lookout for cute new workout clothes and I’ve found that Fabletics is the perfect resource to keep your workout clothes feeling and looking fresh.

7.     Lululemon — Lululemon and I go back to my days of doing yoga in California. This brand is a bit pricey, but the quality is on point. I’ve had Lululemon pieces for years and years and they still look and feel as brand new as the day I got them. My new favorites are all the athleisure pieces they create.

8.     Nike — Nike is one of my go-to fitness brands. Recently, the iconic sports brand has been stepping up its workout wear game with more designs, patterns, textures, and colors. The fabrics of their workout clothes are always super comfortable and durable — two things I always look for in fitness clothes. This brand is also my go-to for quality running shoes.

9.     Nordstrom — Known for its excellent customer service, Nordstrom not only has shoes, jewelry, and makeup, but their clothing range includes a massive selection of activewear, too. They have everything from basic workout tees available in every color you can imagine to durable leggings in eye-catching designs and cute sweaters that will keep you cozy on your way to the gym in winter. They’ve also got a great selection of comfortable and supportive workout underwear.

10.   Titika — While I was living in Shanghai, Titika reached out to me for a fitness and travel campaign. After they gifted me some of their workout wear, I fell head over heels in love with the brand. This Toronto fitness line creates cute clothes that work just as well in everyday life as they do at the gym. If 2020 has taught us anything (I hope it has — some positivity has to have come from last year!) it’s that activewear is acceptable to wear at any time of our lives.

I didn’t make a New Year’s resolution this year. Instead, I chose to live intentionally. But I know many of you made big goals you wanted to achieve by the end of 2021. One of the most common New Year’s resolutions is to make a commitment to your health by getting fit and working out.

Don’t feel bad if you’re struggling to stay committed to working out. We all struggle with our goals at first.

Take my advice: if you’re trying to get fit this year, treat yourself to some new workout gear. Seeing a cute pair of running shoes sitting by your front door or a matching workout co-ord in your favorite color at the end of your bed when you first wake up in the morning will inspire you to put in the effort and workout. Trust me!
